Wow this is really neat. You've been using your lenses well. I like how close up this is. It is much closer up than the last one. You've got talent. I would love to see more of your work. I love how you can see so much detail in the wings. I never realized that they had spots on their bodies. I like the lines and spots on their wings. The background and flower is really pretty to.The lighting really brightens up the photo as well. You should continue to make more work. I really like your photos as well.

Very beautiful picture! I love the splash of dark purple from the flower it provides nice contrast. I wish that stick or whatever wasn't in front of the Monarch. But what is really cool about this picture is that the Monarch has his 'tongue' out. His feeding tube mouth (sorry idk what its really called at the moment) is out and happily eating from the flower.

Thanks a bunch.. Yeah I don't know what that thing is called either, your probably close with what you have named it.
I did not even notice the stick in front of the monarch, well that kind of ruins the picture for me now too. :( Oh well.. I think every photo has to have at least one imperfection. ;)

lol sorry I didn't mean to ruin your picture for you! But great job. I have hatched several monarch caterpillars from eggs, watched them grow then released them as adult butterflies, very amazing!

That's for sure. I've even seen a female lay her eggs once, that was pretty cool. Also taught me what their eggs look like. Its hard to think they start out so small!
